I would mos def not be ashamed to display this on my porch step this Halloween. Really, really pretty. I've done detailed pumpkin carving like this before, so I definately appreciate how even (not bumpy) the bigger scraped-out bits are... like the moon. Love how the fireflies really glow.

If I Fed-Ex you a pumpkin will you carve it for me?

Thanks, though those are supposed to be stars. There are no fireflies out in October.

I don't think the pumpkin would survive the return trip. Mine started to curl a bit the very next day. I dropped it off at the local cafe so that they could enjoy it...and I heard the very next day, when they came in to open, the pumpkin was infested with roaches.

Really, that's what my Mum told me, when I was a kid and we walked the beaches of France and an elderly man was sculpting live-size women just into and with the sand on the beach.
